About Scott

Scott Miller, formerly a foreign correspondent for The Wall Street Journal, is the author of Agent 110: An American Spymaster and the German Resistance in WWII. His first book, The President and the Assassin: McKinley, Terror, and Empire at the Dawn of the American Century, was a Newsweek magazine “must read” summer selection.

Scott spent nearly two decades reporting from Asia and Europe, including two postings in Germany, the backdrop for Agent 110. He covered fields as varied as the Japanese economic collapse, the birth of a single European currency, and the global auto industry, as well as quirky stories like competitive speed knitting.  He has been a contributor to CNBC and Britain's Sky News and appeared as a guest on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart.

Scott earned a Master of Philosophy in international relations from the University of Cambridge and holds degrees in economics and communications.

Raised in Port Townsend, WA, he now lives in Seattle with his wife and Lucy, their labrador retriever. He enjoys hiking and skiing, playing tennis, and visiting his daughters, wherever in the world they may be.
